My name is Brandon, owner of Strength Camp Acworth. I am an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, CrossFit Level I Trainer and International Youth Conditioning Association certified High School Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Our coaching staff love helping clients get stronger, run faster, play harder, and BE BETTER!
The Strength Camp Acworth summer training camp will consist of 6 weeks of programming for motivated high school and middle school teen athletes, male and female, ages 14 to 18. From the first day of assessment throughout the 6 weeks of focused work, we will be building a base of strength, speed and agility culminating in strength gain, improved explosiveness, athleticism and confidence to ensure that the athlete will be well prepared physically and mentally for their next competitive season. Those entering a HS program will do so with the knowledge and comfort in being familiar with the weight room and expectations of High School strength coaches.
By focusing on confidence-building work capacity training, general physical preparedness (GPP) and team work through the 6 weeks, more than what can be accomplished alone will be achieved.
If athletes have summer programming to follow for their school/sport, we will assist them in accomplishing that work, include them in other areas where they can benefit from a positive and professional training environment within a supportive community.
By the end of the 6 weeks, the athlete will have:
– A flexible, mobile, functional body: the foundation for injury resistance
– Useful strength: strength is the foundation of explosiveness
– Quickness born of improved neuromuscular coordination and motor patterning
– Knowledge of nutrition and how to fuel the athletic, growing body
– Confidence in him/herself
– Increased work capacity
The course will begin with a 3 hour on ramp course introduction on Saturday, June 18th, and run Monday through Friday starting June 20th. The course will be scheduled for 90 minute sessions starting at 3 pm. Additional sessions and times will be added based on participation and will be determined prior to the class convene date. The cost is $200.00 per athlete for the full course.
